Would be great if Dan could take a main draw title somewhere along the line, if were to happen, a field like this must be the sort of event he'd have to most chance

Dan has got himself a coach for the clay season

Dan Evans will work with coach Sebastian Prieto on a trial basis during the clay season.

Prieto helped Juan Martin del Potro to a career-high No.3, the Indian Wells title and the US Open final in 2018.

Not bad pedigree that, Dan and I big fans of big Argentinians these days! If Seb can do for Dan what Martinez has done for the Villa. To quote Richie Cunningham ..... Happy Days.

On Monday, Dan Evans will be the first British man to be in the ATP top 100 in singles and doubles simultaneously for nearly 7 years, since
@andy_murray
was ranked 9 in singles and 92 in doubles in early August 2014

Good to see. I also need to update my so called locker room rankings to take this into account, explain more when I do them.

Just thinking about Dan's schedule - he was in Miami and then straight on to play:

Monte Carlo
Barcelona
Munich
Madrid
Does he then have a gap? but presumably wont travel home?
Rome
then maybe a gap with RG going back??
Paris
Queens
Eastbourne?
Wimbledon

He has set himself a schedule and a half and is playing doubles - I think his girlfriend is travelling with him so it seems he must be in a happy place and jut enjoying playing??

By the way, just a little shout out for Dan's girlfriend - I'm a fan ! I once had a quick chat with her at Wimbly qualis, not to be pushy but to ask her if Dan liked spectators to be really loud and a bit unruly - I generally am , but it's not very 'Wimbledon', even at qualis, and Dan seemed a little edgy (what's new? ) so I thought I'd tone it down a bit if he didn't like it.
And she was really sweet and chatted and said, oh no, I think he likes it, go ahead. So I did

Looks like he doesn't have any gap for the next 4 weeks currently.

Wb May 17th are two 250's(Geneva & Lyon)
Wb May 24th currently no events due RG moving back a week.

thanks Madadman - the Darts Rankings Schedules tool is quite a decent tool - beats the one on the LiveRankings.eu site as it gives decent info on where they are in the relevant entry list as well. Thanks for that. Presumably after Rome, those weeks of 17/24th May, he will stay/move to France and just train on the clay, cant see any reason to come home to UK in that time?

Apparently Federer is playing Madrid, missing Rome, then playing Geneva, another week off and then Paris. He will presumably then play Halle before Wimbledon...
