Fairly quiet for Alex's week off:

Bozoljac is knocked out of Barca qualies, while Mahut qualifies for Casablanca.

Threats this week include: Gimelstob, Vicente, Vanek and Granolers who must make the quarter- finals in Barcelona to overtake; Alves who needs to reach the semis in Florianopolis; Gil who needs a QF appearance in Casablanca.

None of the threats are playing today.

Hmm, strange: looks like the ATP haven't credited Bozoljac with the 8 points he should get for reaching the qualifying round in Monte Carlo. As a result, Alex climbs one to 118 confused.gif

Steven, Madeline, Arka, Guy, Bethan: any ideas why he shouldn't get his points? Garcia- Lopez got his (as a Lucky Loser), but none of the unlucky losers got theirs.....

I'm guessing 5. Unless Lu withdraws: Gimelstob won't drop behind him until after the seeding's done.

Yes, very strange.

That has made a right mess of my spreadsheet. . .furious I wonder if this is some weird new rule or if they have just made a mistake and will quietly correct it later? (wouldn't be the first time)

It was the latter: the ATP rankings now have Bozoljac above Boggo again frustrated.gif All the qualies rounders seem to have had their points updated.

At leat we can rest in the knowledge that we're better at working out rankings than the ATP themselves!
