Andy's Live Rankings Weeks 10 and 11 (Indian Wells)

From Nole looking like he was going to have it out with either Blake or Federer he really should be a stick on for the semi now. I like Djokovic and all, but how jammy has he been in this tournament? Plus the guy he has in the semis will have had a much tougher route there. He has such a rubbish record against top 10 guys as well that Andy really could have over-taken. :( Ah well, c'est la vie and all that.

Anyway, hopefully Andy can take care of business tonight and keep the pressure up.

the updated table is posted here (on Britishtennis.net)

Andy won, so did Nole, so no change in the rankings.

Ferrer is playing Moya, and can overtake if he wins and Andy loses Haas plays Gonzo later.

Moya is 3-0 up, having converted his fourth break point on Ferrer's serve

And that's a breadstick for Mr Ferrer

- however he's only gone and held his serve in the first game of the second set

6-1 1-0* To Moya.

Ferrer won. Haas beat Gonzo.

Today, just Ljubicic in action from those shown on the table. He plays Roddick. Andy can't overtake him this week.

Right, you "what if" wizards: do we want Djoko to beat Ferrer tomorrow, or vice versa? Either seem bad to me.

And Andy will just HAVE to beat Tommy Haas. (not easy, he seems in excellent form)

Hmm - I think we want Andy to play first, then when he wins, we can put pins into Nole, so that Andy can overtake. If something totally unexpected happens and Andy loses, we can put them into Ferrer.

So first pins into the schedulers, then into Tommy Haas, then into whichever works best for Andy when we know his result.

think we want ferrer to win as he was in the final of miami last year and so will have a lot of points to defend next week.
