Andy's Live Rankings Weeks 10 and 11 (Indian Wells)

the new table is posted here (on Britishtennis.net)

Blake was the finalist in 2006, and drops from 6th to 8th with the points he's defending.

Andy can overtake everyone up to Haas.  He can be overtaken by everyone down to Tursunov.

I'm sure Bethan's planning the "What if" post as we speak

I think Andy got an excellent draw this week: many of his close competitors are in Federer's quarter, eigth, or even 16th. Those that are not, are in Nadal's or pitted against each other early on. Let's hope Badgathis takes care of Berdych, Tim of Davydenko, and, crucially, Andy makes the most of this excellent opportunity.

Djokovic, unfortunately, probably has the best draw of all: Kendrick, then Tursunov, before meeting Blake in the fourth round: should make 4th round, if not quarters..

Wahey!  Acasuso has kindly put Youzhny out of contention!

I like Youzhny, but. . .

You may be happy about it (and in terms of Andy's rankings I am too) but all of us over in the pick  'em contest aren't so chuffed, he was supposed to be in the form of his life

Nieminen advances. Youzhny is knocked out, Gasquet wins. Everyone else plays today. Andy can't overtake anyone, no- one can overtake Andy. Closest targets are Djokovic and Berdych. Closest threat is Ferrer

Djokovic overtakes, and rises to WR12. Andy back down to 14

Baghdatis and Hewitt are both knocked out , as is Robredo, ahead. Everyone else won, but doesn't advance.

Djokovic plays Korolev at 10 on court 4 - let's get those voodoo pins ready now folks!

Andy's on second against Mahut on Stadium 2. He'll overtake Berdych, and Djokovic if he loses.

Ferrer's playing Tipsarevic, on fourth on Stadium 3: More pins, ladies of the coven. He'll ovrtake if he wins and Andy loses

Gasquet plays Nieminen first up on Stadium 3.

Hmm. I have Berdych as below Andy and having 5 fewer points...making Andy at wr13. I can't get onto BT.net for some reason so can't check against your table Rob but I've looked at the ATP page for Berdych and I'm right there so unless I've missed something....

I can't get onto bt.net either. . .

My figures agree with Rob's, Imoen, both on 1715. Andy start 1700, def 20, so far 35 = 1715.  Berdych start 1785, defending 75, plus 5 for first (second) round = 1715.

Berdych ahead on mandatory points.
