Tie break now - they've played 1 hour 45 mins for 18 games. So even wirh a bagel it sounds pretty competitive.

It was very slow between points as there was only one ball kid and so they spent much of the time between points having to fetch balls themselves.

I agree with SteveMc.  Wolf played very well.

Dan wasn't at his peak, though not dire either.  JJ Wolf played monster good tennis and desrved his victory.

Yes, I agree with this. Wold played great, but Dan's backhand slice wasnt causing him any problems and might have been an idea to mix it up a bit more. Credit where its due though, Wolf looks a prospect.

Jay wins 6-4 6-4. Opponent had 15-40 and missed an easy smash at the net to get it back on serve and Jay saw it out. Harris next.

At least he lived up to expectation.  Dare we hope that he'll go at least a round further?

I think they said on commentary hes a college player, and If so almost certainly under ranked (Oakland will doubtless know more). Made CH 18 in juniors. But even so he played out of his skin yesterday, hitting the ball so hard and cleanly, Dan struggled to even reach a lot of his shots. Nevertheles, Dan not at his best in this match.

I still back Dan to win matches in this hard court swing.  He's going to have to, given he will probably have to go thru qualies in Aptos and Vancouver.

Looks like Jay gets the day off today

I don't see this anywhere and it's due to be on shortly:

Alex Ward WR 336 (CH = 242 in June 2016) vs (8) Stefano Napolitano (ITA) (WR 233, CH = 173 in Nov 2016)

There was a rain delay.

As at 9.35 pm BST the match before on Center Court 1 now stands at 5-3* in the final set.
