I'm forever hopeful, but Liu may well prove to be too good. She qualified for Wimbledon (QWC) and took a set off Kerber in the second round.

I don't necessarily agree that Hev should beat Liu. You can't complain about drawing a (non top 20) wildcard, but Hev sneaked in here due to withdrawals and theres's only around 20 places in the rankings and Liu is in a lot better form of the two, plus she is playing in her home country.

Out of interest, the bookies are finding it hard to split them. Liu is actually a very slight favourite and shortening at 4/5 whereas Watson is evens, but without studying the draw too much, on current form I doubt there would be too many opponents where Hev would start as favourite. Definitely a chance though so fingers crossed.
