Boys: Wimbledon 2018 - Grade A (Week 28)

Anton won 6-1 6-3. His extra power forced the Finn to go for more than what he was comfortable with, so Anton's only danger was a bit of complacency and carelessness which crept into the second set.

Jacks match is a higher standard, which the American has just won the first set on a tiebreak (7-1). Jack will rue missing a setpoint at 5-4 when Tristan slipped at the net (to his credit he made a remarkable recovery shot, but should still have been passed)

Just turned on to watch Jack's match. From what I can see it's all on his racket. If he cuts down the UF errors he'll take it.

Some cracking get backs on return give Jack the break 6-7 *4-3.

The American lad has slipped about 4 times since I've tuned in.

Momentum now with Boyer, who breaks at the third attempt in game 1 of the decider. The American looks like a good competitor and has already won two tight 3 setters here so Jack needs to fight back quickly.

Jack finds a couple of good returns from 30-30 to break back for 1-1

Slightly easier hold there.

Hope he can break now

The American is quite good at the net fair play. Jack's finding it hard to pass him when he gets set up

Jack holds from 0-30 over deuce for 4-3*. Nice to see a junior (Boyer) who is very comfortable at the net

Both get pegged back from 40-0 to 40-30 (TB missing a Beckeresque diving volley) but hold: 6-5*

Jack cracks a fh winner to set up matchpoint, plays the crowd - TB misses and Jack wins 6-7(1) 6-3 7-5

And he's won it, 7-5 in the third! WELL DONE JACK! Three juniors left in the QFs, happy with that :D
