Weeks 27 & 28 - The Championships, Wimbledon - women's doubles (grass)

Heather is so much more successful in doubles - it shows how much the singles issues must be a stress thing.

Maria is having a good Wimbledon - fun to watch such a slicer and dicer.
And lovely for Heather.

Dart & Dunne lost to the very experienced Czech #2 seeds, Sestini Hlavackova & Strycova, 2 & 4

Good fight from Katy and Harriet, but they go out 2 & 4 to the No 2 seeds. They were a break up in the second set, but were pulled back to 2-2, and then lost the last two games.

Here's hoping Ostapenko is tired playing singles and doubles!

Ostapenko has a real chance to get to the singles finals and given the women play back to back matches tomorrow and Tuesday how much effort will see want to put into doubles?.... assuming she wins her singles match tomorrow

Ostapenko did indeed win through to the quarters in the singles. Hopefully, that will benefit Hev as you suggest.

According to results on Wimbledon app, Heather & Tatjana win by default

On order of play it's given as a walkover

If no-one is injured will this result in a fine?

Ostapenko already earned £281k for reaching the quarters with £562k for the semis so would have to be a very large fine!!

I suspect McHale will have a convenient injury.

So however, whatever Heather & Tatjana are into the QF.

Heather will replace Anna to be ranked GB #1. Overall live rankings showing her as #49.
