Oh Dan. Just gave that service game away with a couple of errors and a DF on BP.

I always thought that this would be a close one as DM is under ranked as well.

Thought there was some mental fatigue coming into the game there but Evo gets the break back.

*5-5

Evo definitely looked a bit tired in that game as DM breaks to love and will serve for the match for a 2nd time.

What a fabulous match to watch. Evo had summoned up the last of his strength to break back to 5-5 but after that there was nothing left in the tank and De Minaur won 8 of the last 9 points. A pity that Evo couldn't finish the week off with a title, but full credit to De Minaur who is a super talent and rapidly on the rise.

Quality match from both of them. I think Dan was running out of gas by the end after two hours of high-level tennis.

Yes I thought Dan looked tired in that 3rd set, but all credit to De Minaur who played a fantastic match. I can see him and Shapalolov being the most likely to be the main contenders in a few years time.

I'm not surprised that Dan ran out of gas, he's been playing a lot of tennis. Hopefully he'll have a Tuesday start at Queens and a Wimby MDWC so he can be at his best. I hope DM gets a Wimby WC too, he deserves it.

Here's hoping Johanna can go one better & triumph where she failed last year.

Yes. Great that the crowd had a good final. Evo did well.

And de Minaur had my money as soon as I got back from Surbiton after seeing him live. Aussie tennis is in an interesting place.

Watched De Minaur against Kyle at the French where he put up plenty of resistance but Kyle had to much pop for him all round. It is nice to see Dan getting there, realistically if he stays injury free hopefully he will be really competitive in the US and back to his best by the Aussie Open.

Dan's up 190 more places in today's rankings to WR 340.  smile
