She lost. 0-6, 6(5)-7

Em hit a nice run of points in the middle from 0-2* to *3-2 but was broken. Dug in to get to 5-5*, broke but played a terrible game serving for it and was broken to love. Tiebreak was more one sided than score might suggest, was *1-5 down

Ends a great week with a 60 76(5) defeat. Battled but was too inconsistent.

Just as annoyingly, because both semis were so short, my understanding of the rules is that she won't get a SE for Changwon. Missed it by 40mins.

She lost the second set on a tie break....

The standard was pretty poor. Neither player could land a first serve, too many double faults and errors.

She's missed it by more than 40 mins hasn't she? There's another 2 1/2 hours to Q sign in deadline.

I thought it was if you were still competing when start of sign-in? I'm probably wrong, but a moot point anyway.

Well Emily is not in the Changwon q draw, and her current ranking 582 is higher than the top q seed's of 592, so maybe she has just sneaked into the MD.... Here's hoping.
