Juniors playing professional senior tennis 2018

Perhaps but it is a common name Elise has an older sister who is a keen tennis player and works an airline pilot but no brothers. She is only the second most wealthy athlete from Leuven Dries the footballer Belgium/Napoli was also born there.

WEEK 18: QUALIFYING

Kampala Uganda: for George our highest ranked male junior (JCH 23) with another year of eligibility at juniors left but a scrum is forming behind him. George plays his third futures tournament having won through in qualifying to the main draw in Spain in March in only his second futures event .

QR1: Nathan Lavanchy (SUI) UNR vs George Loffhagen UNR

GLASGOW 85K CHALLENGER: The Glasgow Bowl

Jacob Fearnley still 16 but 2001 (JCH 40) starts off with a corker of a draw in Glasgow. Interesting Daniel now 30 had JCH of 55 back in 2005.

QR1: (q1) Daniel Brands (GER) WR 386 (CH = 51 in August 2013) vs (qWC) Jacob Fearnley UNR

Brandon has a JCH of 779 but stopped playing juniors last January when still 16 and has played a 6 futures tournaments through the autumn and beginning of this year, 5 UK based.

QR1: (qWC) Brandon Murphy (17 years old) UNR JCH 779 vs (q7) Emil Ruusuvuori (FIN) WR 581 (= CH)

Connor is another of the 2001 cohort who only turned 17 in January and has a JCH (146) he has played only one futures event also in Glasgow in January and had a good fun with Jacob in the doubles loosing to a couple of old hands in the SF.

QR1: (qWC) Connor Thomson (17 years old) UNR vs (q6) Adrien Bossel (SUI) WR 567 (CH = in August 2015)

Apologies to Emilie who turned 18 in january so could thoretically play juniors this year, but why would she start Having not played up to now?

ISRAEL FUTURES

Q1: LINDH GALLAGHER, Emilie (GBR) UNR v YOUNES, Kristin (ISR) UNR 17yo JCH=600

Blob thanks for the post and for the information! Please data dump when ever you have the inclination it is really useful. I was blinded to Emilie's eligibility to play juniors this year not having ever seen her name in the juniors section as it is not a route she has chosen to take.

George gets a noce warm up, Nathan has played 70 plus futures qualifying events never making the main draw, surely there is a trend there that suggests hes not going to make a living out of pro Tennis. He must enjoy the travel.

QR1: George Loffhagen UNR defeated Nathan Lavanchy (SUI) UNR by 1 & 1

The next round gets a bit tougher, up against a bit of experience.

FQR: Paolo Bocchi (ITA) UNR (He's 57!) vs George Loffhagen UNR

In Israel progress for Emilie too

QR1: LINDH GALLAGHER, Emilie (GBR) UNR 18yrs beat YOUNES, Kristin (ISR) UNR 17yo JCH=600 6-0 6-0

FQR: LINDH GALLAGHER, Emilie (GBR) UNR 18yrs vs FANCHIN, Francesca (USA) UNR

Glasgow Challenger predictably no good news

QR1: (q6) Adrien Bossel (SUI) WR 567 defeated (qWC) Connor Thomson 6-3 6-4

QR1: (q1) Daniel Brands (GER) WR 386 (CH 51/2013) defeated (qWC) Jacob Fearnley UNR 6-4, 6-1

QR1: (g7) Emil Ruusuvuori (FIN) WR 581 defeated (qWC) Brandon Murphy 6-0, 6-3

And in Grasse, France David Quale makes his futures debut.

QR1: (q6) Julien Eon (FRA) WR 1443 defeated David Quayle UNR (JCH 517 ) 6-2 6-1

Just to mention, although it's not good news, that David Quayle (age 17) played and lost in Grasse ITF qualis this week.

Just to note that Jake and Connor (both 2001-ers) are playing the doubles main draw at the Glasgow Challenger.

(Always likely they were going to get a wildcard, being Scottish and having some good results, but good to see it confirmed)

The two lads have ATP doubles rankings, after their success in making the semis in Glasgow ITF at the start of the year.

And have also won juniors title together, winning the G3 title in Russia recently, and a G5 in Poland, I think.

Joined in style by Emilie, who like Nell gains her second counter ( they will be our only players, junior or senior, sitting on two counters )

R1: (Q) Emilie Lindh Gallagher UNR, 18 yo beat Taysia Rogers (USA) WR 1203 (= CH), 17 yo  6-2 6-0
