Yep. Two very decent results.

Unfortunately, Jay has just lost the first set of his match.
But it was in a tie-break so close and all to play for....

The main draw is out:

L32:  Liam Broady WR 172 (CH = 158 in August 2015) vs (5) Dustin Brown (GER) WR 129 (CH = 64 in October 2016)  bleh

The top seed is Mikhail Youzhny (WR 90/CH = 8 in January 2008 - he's now 35)!

Oooh Dusty. Not an easy start.

A couple of nice wins for Ed and Tom. Pity for Jay but he will still inherit the GB #5 spot from Evo on Monday week, well at least he will if Ed doesn't go on to win the title here.

An Instagram post from Jay suggests that he thought he was a bit unlucky today.

Keep doing the good work, Jay.

As has been quite often said in the past, a well known repeat being by Gary Player, "the harder I practice, the luckier I get".
