Kyle has Kevin Anderson in first round

Edit:  just amending the subject line in line with the standard format.

That's tough.

L128: Kyle Edmund WR 49 v (11) Kevin Anderson (RSA) WR 11 (CH 10)

Anderson has started his season by reaching the Final of the ATP250 in India, Monteiro (by retirement), Kukushkin (3 sets), Paire (3 sets) before losing in straight sets in the final to Gilles Simon. They have met before in a Slam when Anderson won 6-4 in the 5th set at Roland Garros last year. Let's hope Kyle can go one step better this time, although on the faster hard courts, that is going to be difficult.

Would need a CH win for Kyle, but time that CH 15 win was getting improved on.

Tough indeed here, but give it your best shot, Kyle.

Like the women's draw, the men's draw has 8 QvQ slots, at odds of several billion to one against. There is clearly a glitch in the software, and this draw should be scrapped, and drawn again.

EDIT; IGNORE THIS.  I was misreading an early version of what was posted online. Te draw is okay.

Killer draw - but big opportunity also this early in the season...all are vulnerable. Bedene v Fed is tough, cant see him winning that.

Shame Cam couldnt get through.

Is it just me or has the "makeover" of the Oz Open site turned it into a garish hopeless mess?  disbelief

I hate calculating time zones when they work out as the previous day. So can somebody please confirm that Kyle's match starts at 11am Monday in Melbourne, which would be 1am Monday in Spain, midnight Sun/Mon in the UK and hence 9pm Sunday in Brazil ? If so, Kyle's match will be well underway by the time I touch down in South America tomorrow.

Let's hope I get some good news when I land.

Thanks. There are more than one time zones in Brazil.  Where I am, (Natal, RN) I know we are 3 hours behind the UK in the winter and 4 hours behind in the summer.

Just double checked.  Natal is an hour behind Rio at the moment so I that would tie in with your conversion.
