Two MP for Emily disappear, and it will be a TB to decide it, 6-3 3-6 6-6

Hmmm congrats to Emily, glad she finally made it after initially appearing to be cruising in that final set. If I recall blob's stats from last year, that win over the WR605 is nearly as good as she managed all last year. And coming off two extremely untesting matches, that's a great performance from her today. Emily will have the top seed next, who was pushed in a three setter today, so she will have a good chance to win what I believe would be a career best scalp.

QF: APPLETON, Emily (GBR) [6] 734 beat RAMIALISON, Irina (FRA) [3] 605 (CH:243 Nov 14) 6-3 3-6 7-6(3)

SF: APPLETON, Emily (GBR) [6] 734 vs Priscilla HEISE (FRA) [1] 414 (CH:405 Sept 17)

And having just checked Helen's stats, Emily's current CH scalp is 463, that of Caitlyn Whoriskey, which she did achieve last year.

Emily and her partner Caty McNally (USA) #2 seeds are also into the SF of the doubles via a bye and a walkover.

Good win for team Apples.
There are a couple of good juniors still in the draw.

Yes, it's ultimately a good win for Emily. I think that CH 463 win was quite a bit of an outlier last year.

A SF win would both be a CH win and should ensure that she takes out her own CH 695 from November 2016.

Going well; set and a break, having taken the only two BP in the match so far, 6-3 *1-0
