Well done Naomi

Where did that stat come from blob?

It came from me having recorded all the events and matches one by one, as excerpted below:

My designation of this WTA event as the 300th is a bit arbitrary; in truth any of the events from this week with a confirmed GB participant could equally be considered the 300th.
I work on a reverse hierarchy when entering the details though: all the ITF's first, and then the WTA's if they exist. By that method, Luxembourg came out os #300

Naomi earned an additional 162 euros for that win, for a total of 589 euros.

1st set comprehensive. 2nd set a real struggle. Down *1-3 then had to save 2 bps at 4-4.

6-1 6-4

First serve percentage 66% 74/40 11 aces 3 dfs

Return stats that Naomi normally only sees in her dreams, 48/68 winning 6/8 bps

Ana Bogdan next.

ATP qualifying at Moscow pays out 2k just for making the q draw.

Yep but everything is for a reason. I feel I would have earnt 2k just turning up in Russia, Flight and accommodation in Moscow plus general hassle vs quick jaunt over the channel via the tunnel a tank of petrol and a cheap hotel, no hassle getting home when you get knocked out.

Really would like to see Naomi do well here, this season seems to be winding down in a fairly rudderless fashion and a good run at a WTA event might just spark some energy to carry into offseason training and a fast start next year. I do hope also that she has kept back enough from this years earnings to cover the cost of a coach for at least her winter training and the start of 2018, I think some outside perspective could help at this point.
