Aha. Maxime "Wild Child" Hamou.

Watch out for some fireworks and don't rule Billy out on this one at all.

I don't think 'wild child' are the words you're looking for, Bob.

'Wild child' suggests something positive, exciting but untamed.

There's not much positive and exciting about Hamou.

Indeed, the words you might want instead are 'pr*t' and 'p*llock'.

In the last few months, Hamou has harrassed a female journalist (and then made the most begrudging apology when he had to), eaten crisps and been rude/insolent/disrepsectful in press interviews, been rude and snubbed another journalist, acted up something chronic against an umpire on court, behaved like a complete pr*t in a match against Eysseric who is now no longer talking to him, got a fine from the ATP for failing to turn up to a tournament.....

Frankly, there's nothing really to like.....

Wow, saw the video of when Hamou "harassed" the female interviewer. I think he's lucky just to have been fined and barred from Roland Garros and that there is nothing that I read anyway about the police showing an interest! Rather different league from the cricketer Chris Gayle coming on to an interviewer a bit and asking her out, out of order though that was.

And they were laughing in the studio, at least initially !!!

Trust me, "Wild Child" was not intended to be complimentary in any way. The other options I came up with wouldn't have made it through the filter.

Billy is *5-2 up but play has been interrupted.

Which is a shame, hope he doesn't lose the momentum or that the 'le con francais' has time to now get his act together....

(NB just to say 'con' is about the most common swearword in French, meaning complete and utter idiot. It is not used (and I'm not using it!!!!) as the c* word in English, which some people think it is, because literally it can be)

As I said, don't rule Billy out on this one. In the end it took just 43 minutes.  Looks like weather has intervened big time though and the match was played indoors.

Go Billy.

Yes, very satisfying indeed.

Hamou is a real clay player too, if it got moved inside to hard courts he will have been having a complete sulk.

Well done, Billy - very pleased for many reasons

Was wondering if the move inside got into Hamou's head but didn't check to see the change of surface.  You are right CD. I can picture Hamou throwing a complete strop and just losing it mentally.
