Katie here, and Emily Arb in Porto makes 39 active Brit women in singles this week, our highest number of the year.
Previous high was 37 in week 7 - the week of Wirral.

39 players is 44% of all GB women that have played a pro match this year: there have now been 88.

Wow. Worrying times for the youngster. I haven't managed to see her play this year - are there obvious problems or do we expect her game to come back to her?

 Lost a bit of confidence and struggling to use the big serve and forehand that was so effective at junior level and utilise it against the older, wiser players.
