Week 31 - WTA International ($227K) - Washington, USA Hard

8 doubles in the second, most towards the end.

*4-2 broken to love
*5-3 broken to love
*5-5 broken to 15

Total walkabout. Needs to focus here but the break is gone already

Heather just doesn't seem to do simple that's for sure... Needs some of JoKo's type of mental attitude to cope with those nerves...

An interesting development in the doubles draw:
R16: Jocelyn RAE/Jessica MOORE (GBR/AUS) 257 (94 + 163) v. Valentini GRAMMATIKOPOULOU/Nao HIBINO [4] (GRE/JPN) 222 (176 + 46)
Emily W-S' old friend, Nao, has been in the singles final in Nanchang this morning, so she'll have a long trip before this match.

Heather is a really slow starter to a tournament and nearly always struggles in the opening match. Very much a confidence player with a win under her belt.

Heather wins 6-3 7-6(7)

Don't know when the 3 breaks apiece occurred during the second set but she was 6-1* up in the TB and the little devil managed not to convert 6 MPs in all in that TB.

She's into the main draw then

Nervy end by the look of it. It was 6-1 in the tie-break at one point - and ended up 9-7
