Boys & Girls: 2017 European under 18 Junior Championships, Klosters , Switzerland, clay - Grade B1 (Week 30)

Several top 10 ranked players bar the way to British success in the annual European Championships. Aidan McHugh has a tough opener against the former JWR21, who has turned to the Pro Circuit, and is ranked around 1000

Live scores should be available at http://www.tennisticker.de/sui/sb.html?tournid=3267

Boys R1 (L128)

Ewen Lumsden v Jonas Eriksson Ziverts (SWE)

R2

Kacper Zuk (POL) v (11) Aidan McHugh

Girls R2 (L64)

Fiona Ganz (SUI) v Eliz Maloney

Eleni Makride (CYP) v Ali Collins

Very little play was possible today, except some indoor doubles. Ewen's match started and isn't going too well for him, as he will resume tomorrow 0-5 down. The tournament has a live stream at www.youtube.com/watch currently showing highlights of the few minutes play possible. I don't think any of the Brits are on the streamed court tomorrow

R2

Kacper Zuk (POL) v (11) Aidan McHugh

If the spasmodically updating live scores are to be believed then Aidan has pulled off a fine win 4-6 7-6 6-0

Straightforward for Ali against an opponent yet to win a set in an ITF event. Much tougher in the next round against a winner of a recent G1

Boys R2

(11) Aidan McHugh d. Kacper Zuk (POL) 4-6 7-6(6) 6-0

R3

Gabi Adrian Boitan (ROU) v (11) Aidan McHugh

Girls R2 (L64)

Ali Collins d. Eleni Makride (CYP) 6-1 6-0

R3

Eliz Maloney v (13) Karolina Berankova (CZE)
Ali Collins v (10) Jule Niemeier (GER)
