Week 26 - ATP 250 - Aegon International, Devonshire Park, Eastbourne (grass)

NoDjo's accepted a wild card with a view to "fine-tuning [his] grass court game there ahead of Wimbledon", the first time for seven years that he'll have played a grass court warm-up event.  He'll be the top seed (unless, of course, Andy springs a surprise...).  Gaël Monfils also has a WC & will be seeded second.  Kyle & Aljaz are in the main draw.

Apologies posted similar elsewhere! Question though, do the BBC televise this event for the men's? I know the ladies is. I don't have sky or eurosport or any other non free to view channels so hope they do!

I should say that's due to wanting a life as I'd watch wall to wall sport if I had any of those cable or satellite channels!

Jon, I imagine that the Beeb works on the principle that the boys receive full coverage at Queen's, so Eastbourne is the girls' turn in the sun/national spotlight.  Now, were Andy to request a wild card...

A rematch for Dino:

QR1:  (q1) Vasek Pospisil (CAN) WR 76 (CH = 25 in January 2014) vs (qWC) James Ward WR 1062 (CH = 89 in July 2015)

The head-to-head is actually 1:1, but it was the Canuck who came out on top after Dino had him on the ropes in that five-setter fiver years ago.

QR1:  (qWC) Luke Bambridge WR 621 (CH = 481 in May last year) vs (q7) Marek Jaloviec (CZE) WR 274 (= CH)

Don't think I've heard of the Czech.

I'm guessing Cam has the final wild card and Brydan has missed out on playing qualifying because he is still in doubles in Ilkley.

The main draw is out:

L32:  Donald Young (USA) WR 55 (CH = 38 in February 2012) vs Kyle Edmund WR 47 (CH = 40 last October)

There is no head-to-head.

L32:  (WC) Cam Norrie WR 235 (CH = 230 earlier this month) vs Horacio Zeballos (ARG) WR 48 (CH = 39 in March 2013 - he's 32)

No sign of Aljaz!

The first BP either has had in the second set is earned and converted by Luke at rather a good time.

He will now serve for the match at 6-4 *5-4
