Interesting that Lloyd Glasspool is down for Spain - surely he would now expect a QWC for Wimbledon so would we expect that to change?

I know he is not a Brit but Novak appears to be considering a WC for Eastbourne, which would be a boost for the event. What is the BBC contract for Eastbourne, is it just womens? If Novak played could they show any of his matches in their coverage?

In the 100k+H at Southsea (16MD - no qualifying and 8DMD) Heather is 10th ALT, followed by Naomi,Tara and Laura.
Pretty well everyone above them will be MD at Wimbledon the following week.

I know he isnt a Brit but worth noting that Djokoviv has taken a WC to Eastbourne. Confirmed here www.telegraph.co.uk/tennis/2017/06/21/novak-djokovic-accepts-eastbourne-wildcard-looks-fine-tune-grass/

Gael Monfils is also confirmed as a wild card www.menstennisforums.com/5881-aegon-international/899825-eastbourne-entry-list-fact-sheet-updated-june-20-2017-a.html

and a separate report suggests Kyrgios is also after the third one. I think I would give it to him if he wants it, no GB wildcards is my view, at least in md (presume Andy doesnt want another tournie?)

Give Cam and maybe Shapovalov or James Ward the other - all others apart from Klein will be in qualies at Roehampton. Will make a really strong top end of draw then, 3 top 20 players, Isner, Johnson and Kyle and Aljaz from GB as Dan has formally withdrawn.

I'm kind of struggling to see the point of the Southsea tournament. Eastbourne and Wimby qualifiers already there.

Again a waste of funds that could have been better used on a couple more 15ks and 25ks later in the year.

Does seem more of a pesky thing. Lots of well ranked players looking for a good grass court tournament in the week before Wimbledon and won't get into Eastbourne.

GB catering for a field of 16 in this sort of way I tend to agree doesn't seem exactly the best use of funds. Good for Laura and Katie B ( not doing too badly already, shh Tara ) and a bunch of peskies.

I see Tara was on the entry list ahead of Laura and Katie - and misses out again

Presumably she wouldn't have been able to accept because she will be playing Wimbly qualis????

Doesn't stop the youngsters entering Eastbourne qualies and Wimbly qualies

Because they expect to have lost Eastbourne by the time their match comes up at Wimbly.

Wouldn't work if they had an Eastbourne MD wildcard (as shown by the 'Harriet fiasco' two years ago)

QR1 losers at Eastbourne get $1130 - not bad
Pity that Gabi and Harriet are drawn in the same section, although they have super tough draws
