In a weather-delayed South Africa, MJ had a full-on day, with two wins in the singles, including one against a young French girl who plays an extremely nice game (despite being a qualifier), and a doubles win:

South Africa, G5:

R2:

M J CHANGWEREZA (GBR) 6-1 6-3 Christine KRUGER (RSA)

Myah PETCHEY (RSA) 6-0 6-1 Sasha SOUTHGATE (GBR)

QF:

M J CHANGWEREZA (GBR) 6-3 7-6(3) (q) Isabelle BASSI (FRA)

Sasha had Petchey, the younger, last week's winner, so a tricky draw.....

Another junior event this week is the Open Super 12 Auray in France, one of the leading under 12 events. So far they have reached round 3 with three British players still involved in singles (Eva Shaw, Jaquelyn Ogunwale and Luca Pow). Jaquelyn's R2 win is one of the many matches you can see on the tournament's YouTube channel ( www.youtube.com/user/OpenSuper12Auray )

Yep, I think you're right, Strongbow

Unfortunately, it ended there but form little acorns and all that....

Quarterfinal

Basak AKBAS (TUR) / Azradeniz COMLEK (TUR) [1] 6-4 6-3 Ilayda BAYKAN (TUR) / Grace Emma ELAND (GBR) [8]

In South Africa, it was a bit of a downer for MJ, with losses in singles and doubles, but a very good week nonetheless:

Semifinal

Shavit KIMCHI (ISR) [6] def. M J CHANGWEREZA (GBR) 6-2 6-0

Harry lost his dubs in Germany too.
