Expected really.

Hoping to see Maia make some big moves ranking wise this year.

I might be wrong but I thought Maia was doing some sort of degree at Stirling as well as her tennis in which case, time issues will probably mean the rankings rise will be modest.

She's just turned 19, so might be a couple of years yet.

Tier 1 event under way at Sutton Tennis Academy.
Laura Deigman and Alicia Barnett appear to be late withdrawals, so Mariam Bolkvadze and Eva Siska are the top seeds, both on wild cards.

It's Loughborough 2 this week and the QFs are:

Eva Sisak v Ola Pitak

Louise Holtum v Destinee Martins

Kasia Pitak v Bronte Murgett

Sonay Kartal v Mollie Crouch

(NB Young Sonay has been having some very good results as the last couple of British Tour events; her name has come up before.....)

Both semis went to three sets but Eva beat Louise and Mollie beat Kasia so it's Eva v Mollie in the final.

(little shout out to Ola who lost to Eva 8-6 in a third set tie-break in the quarters).

Just to recap
Mollie Crouch beat Sonay Kartel 7-6 6-4 in the QF, which must go down as a good score for Sonay

And in this morning's final
Mollie Crouch [2] def Eva Siska [1/1138] 6-2 6-2
