Another Yay !!

Should push Tara's CH/WR up another few places but more important progress to QR2 and hopefully more ...

Impressive win for Tara, Mrdeza serving stats weren't too hot, and its looking good for further progress.

Isabella Shinikova is taller than I expected (6ft). Has a big first serve. Huge forehand when she goes for it. Backhand seems ordinary. 2nd serve looks vulnerable. Seems better being aggressive than on the defensive though her movement appears fine. There are a few vids on Youtube of some of her clay matches.

Another win by Laura should be enough to cancel out all points dropping off between now and the end of the year.

Shinikova should be an interesting challenge, mid 20's and stalled around the 200-340 mark for a number of years, this year pushing up to 150, plays lots of 10Ks wins a few but not really been able to step up as the American girls can because of the tournaments available? Cost?

Has a reputation as a bit of a diva in 10k's but behaves against highly ranked players. A win here for Isabella would be a significant step forward so there could be some tension and potential am dram!

 Isabella Robson? wink

Delighted to see her maintaining her Landisville form - keep it up!

Yes, great stuff to see 2/2 this morning. Hopefully more still to come this week from both as well. Glad to see Tara is okay after her issues in Landisville and re-establishing her momentum, and Laura carrying on where she left off.

I went to bed after Tara had won her first set, so I'm really happy to wake up to this news. Well done to both of them

I read Oakie's post as it would be a real big win for Isabella Shinikova so she'll put everything into it - including lots of emotion....
