But I think Ryan played almost exclusively adult tennis when he was based in the US before coming over to Britain fairly recently.  I'm sure I read something about not being eligible for US junior events due to residency / nationality.

John McNally (brother of Caty) came through yesterday evening's match, and has just started against Ryan. The doubles final is well under way and Jay/Benjamin have taken the first set

Although they led 4-2 in the second it went pear-shaped from there for the top seeds. Ryan is 5-5 15*-40

Doubles F

Galarneau/Lin (CAN) d. (1) Clarke/Sigouin (GBR/CAN) 4-6 6-4 [10-7]

Ryan dug himself out of that hole and claimed the decisive break in the next game to win the first set 7-5

Looks like the 5-5 game was a crucial turning point. He now leads 7-5 4-1*. Jay's conqueror Benjamin Sigouin awaits the winner

To be a finalist in this tournament (in singles or doubles) is quite an accomplishment. Well done to both who were/are - and good luck in the singles final!
