OK.

Like Phil, I'm going for Tara on the hope that, with her back against the wall rather, she will at last make the effort needed to achieve what she should achieve (and I know she's been injured but I don;t think that is the root of her problem). Also think Naomi B will have ongoing problems. And expect Laura to make a comeback but not sure it'll hold out. And, completely hope to be wrong, but difficult to agree with so many people going for Ellie Dean when she's barely strung a few tournaments together. Injuries are such a bit part of these predictions . . . it's dreadful . . . (for the players, of course, not for us!).

The Katy/ies are exciting though, as well as Harriet, Anna B, Izzy, Freya, Fran, Gabi etc., although maybe too early for them. (I've gone for Freya as a wildcard, even though she's still a junior). Not convinced by Katie's 'hunger' yet, but I've ranked her ahead, just because she played SO well in the Wimbly qualies. (No doubting Katy's hunger though. . . )

NB Was SO pleased that Emily finished as British number 4 (when I hadn't even placed her - in fact, I think only one person did) that I'm scared that if I put her in this year she'll blow up. So I'll stick to a winning strategy, leave her out, and watch her race into the top 200 !

1. Heather 50
2. JoKo 100
3. Laura 130
4. Tara 160
5. Naomi C. 210
6. Katie 220
7. Katy 230
8. Naomi B 270
9. Harriet 300
10. Freya 350

I've been quite pessimistic for those with injuries. Primarily because with both Laura and Sam it's the unpredictability of a major wrist injury and with Eleanor, history dictates she won't play a full schedule. If she's fully fit for a year we would all predict top 250, I suspect.

My wildcard would be Freya Christie. Saw her at Wimbledon (albeit in the girls doubles), powerful, senior-friendly game. She did well taking a set off a top 200 player last month and if she plays majority senior events, I can see her pushing top 500 for sure, possibly higher.

Other notable absentees - Lisa, Anna B, EWS. But I'm hanging my hat on Harriet who, if she can get some consistency, is a good prospect.

....but then tomorrow I might have an entirely different list in my head! :)

With adjustments based on Laura's updates.

Thanks Sim for doing this, that looks great.

As the result looks so nice as it is, I'm happy to remain a sheep.

Best of luck to all the runners for the year ahead, on the court and in the forum.
