So why didn't they play last week?

They didn't make the cut, even for qualifying.

I don't understand how this works?

Dustov/Marchenko were top seeds in qualifying last week yet Rice/Thornley seeded above them this week?

Is there a rule for using singles ranking for doubles and being seeded? Because even though Rice/Thornley are second seeds they are the last DA??

You can use your singles ranking for entry but not seeding.

And Indy, why not good scheduling?

Dave and AB Jr warming up on the livestream

(and well done to wolf and all the others who understand how doubles works . . . makes my brain short-fuse just trying to understand it . . . )

Saw one of AB Jr's matches last week and wasn't unduly impressed. He got pretty frustrated and sprayed the ball very nicely for his opponent.

He's still the favourite here of course, but come on, Dave !

I really can't see Dave progressing much further in the rankings, I actually feel he is a fair bit overranked already.

Much as it pains me, I tend to agree. He's going to find it hard to defend the big slug of points he's got coming off and he hasn't really managed to establish himself at Challengers.

But he was only WR 688 this time last year so he's gone a long way in a short time and I guess it needs a bit of consolidation . . .

Re scheduling, I just meant Dave being 3rd on for his singles then 5th on for his doubles.
