Week 10 - Canada F1 ($15,000) - Gatineau (hard)

Jamie has been bumped from the top seeding by Polansky getting a wild card and has a tricky R1 draw against last year's Wimbledon & US Open junior champion:

L32: (2) Jamie Baker WR 210 v Filip Peliwo (CAN) WR 518

Good to see.

Would be good to see Jamie go all the way this week. He has 86 ranking points to come off by the middle of May.

I can't work out why bet365 managed to cover the first two singles matches on Jamie's court and the one that's being played now but didn't cover Jamie's match. I wonder if there was a withdrawal and it never got on court.

Sadly, JB was unable to do the double, so to speak, but he & DKT at least gave it a go & came close:

QF: (4) Moritz Baumann (again! disbelief ) & Tim Pütz (GER/GER) WR 916 defeated Jamie Baker & Daniel King-Turner (NZL) WR 1081 by 6-3 2-6 [10-7] cry

Jamie should be due on court shortly and a win would defend his 8pts that he was due to drop off.
