footnote: If there's hospitality at a Challenger ("+H") then you count points for the next level up: e.g. 50,000 +H counts the same points as a 75,00.

I've always found this thread a fantastic resource. However, because I've been very lazy and used this rather than looking elsewhere, I don't know where to find the new points for this year. Please could someone in the know post the new points so I can continue to be very lazy smile.gif Much appreciated!! (I would be equally appreciative of instructions on how to find this information myself in a slightly less lazy manner wink.gif)

seems very unfair that the points for qualifying are the same for a 75K challenger as a 150K challenger

As i said elsewhere, the ATP World Tour Events should be 500 and 350 ( 500 and 250 is a ridiculous disparity, especailly when you look at the 250 fields in such as Doha and Stydney so far ).  I'd like to look back at the comparative "500" and "250" fields come the end of the year.!  The 250 level has also had a knock-on effect in restricting the challenger and future level points although they have still been even more restricted then would appear necessary.

I think we can cope with not every ATP event being half of another one !!  The general simplifcation to less different points levels was probably to be welcomed,  Just why on earth they had to introiduce two such silly / unfair new incomparable levels !

If the 250 were upped to 350. all the challengers and futures could be increased as well to much fairer points.

eg, winner challenger 150,000 + H  175 points,  winner futures 15,000 + H  42 points (  although there is case for doubling to 200 and 48 respectively ), but 125 and 33 respectively ( and the lower tournament points ) is just sooo unfair to the vast bulk of players below the top level.

Fairness, however, doesn't seem to be really that high on some folks' priorities !!

 I use this one:

http://www.wtatennis.com/all-about-rankings

which is the one Steven links to on his British Tennis rankings table and stats site (via the 'How the WTA rankings work' line in purple right above New Points Calculation).

It's been a while since this thread was updated, and since the 2017 ITF Rulebook has just been published (07/02/17) I thought I'd post a link

The rulebook can be found at www.itftennis.com/media/253215/253215.pdf

The prize money distribution is on page 32 for the men, and 66/67 for the women.
Ranking points can be found on page 29 for the men, and 69 for the women.
